The Bolton Wanderers 1958 FA Cup winning team remains one of the most celebrated sides in the club's history. On 3 May 1958, Bolton Wanderers defeated Manchester United 2–0 at Wembley Stadium to lift the FA Cup, with legendary captain Nat Lofthouse scoring both goals.

Played in front of 99,756 spectators, the final became one of the defining moments in Bolton Wanderers history and secured the club's fourth FA Cup triumph.

Managed by Bill Ridding, Bolton Wanderers went into the 1958 FA Cup Final with a strong side featuring several players who would become important figures in the club's history.

Their opponents were Manchester United, who had reached Wembley only months after the Munich air disaster. Despite the enormous emotion surrounding the occasion, Bolton produced a memorable performance and secured a 2–0 victory.

Nat Lofthouse opened the scoring after just three minutes, before adding a second goal in the second half to seal the trophy for Bolton.
